El otro dia, soñando despierta frente al escaparate de Loewe, me dijeron algo que me a hecho pensar (gracias por lo que me dijistes, me a inspirado a escribir hoy).
The other day, daydreaming at the Loewe store window, someone told me something that made me think (thankyou for what you said, it has inspired me to write today).
No todo el mundo puede permitirse comprar en grandes marcas. No todos podemos tener el armario lleno de zapatos, bolsos… de marcas como LV, D&G, GUCCI… Y a veces cuando no podemos y realmente lo queremos tendemos a acudir a la imitaciones.
Not everyone can have a closet full of shoes, bags … of brands such as LV, D & G, GUCCI … And sometimes when we can’t and we really want it we tend to go to the imitations.
Y aqui es cuando llega lo que me dijeron… «Si no puedes tenerlo, ¿para que tener algo falso? La gracia es el de verdad. Si realmente lo que te gusta es el estilo… Lo mejor es uno igual pero sin la marca. ¿Para que algo de mentira? ¿Solo por el simbolo de la marca?»
And here is when it comes to what someone told me … «If you can not have it, why have something fake? The good part would be to have the reall one. If you really love it’s style … The best would be to own one the same style but without the brand. For what something that’s fake? Only for the brand label? «
A la noche empeze a pensarlo. ¿Porque se compran imitaciones?
At night I started thinking. Why do we buy imitations?
Desde siempre la moda, las tendencias, los colores… las imponen las revistas, los anuncios, la musica, los famosos y un largo etc. Pero sobre todos estos, las grandes marcas.
Historically fashion trends, colors … are imposed by the magazines, adds/tv comercials, music, celebrities and much more. But above all these, the big brands.
Estar a la ultima o a la moda, no significa tener que ceder a las grandes marcas y sus precios elevados. Estar a la moda no es lucir marcas (reales o de imitacion).
Being fashionable, does not mean having to give in to the big brands and their high prices. Being fashionable is not showing off brands (real or imitation).
Cada uno tiene su presupuesto y lo bueno de la moda es que se adapta a todos.
Each own one has their own budget and the beauty of fashion is that it fits all.
Para aquellos que no pueden permitirse grandes marcas, existen alternativas como tiendas con ropa a la ultima a precios mas asequibles como: Zara, H&M, Mango…
For those who can not afford big brands, there are alternatives such as shops with latests trends and more affordable prices as: Zara, H & M, Mango…
Con esto no quiero decir que no merezcan la pena las marcas de renombre. Es mas, os recomiendo si podeis que adquirais algun que otro articulo de estas, ya que son cosas clasicas (la gran mayoria), es decir, que no pasan nunca de moda y de muy buena calidad.
I do not mean to say that big brands are not worthwhile. It is more, if you can, I recommend that you acquire some of these other items, since they are classic pieces (the vast majority), meaning that they never fall of fashion and they are excellent quality material.
Solo os quiero decir, que no caigais en lo que yo denomino «marquitis».

Tambien os queria decir, que estar a la moda no es cuestion de gastar y gastar. Yo me confieso una «consumista / amante de las compras». Mi testimonio para cubrirme las espaldas es, «No es mi culpa, es la de las tiendas… Es que cada poco traen cosas nuevas y te incitan».

Yo misma, hace poco, me dio una amiga un simbolo de la paz de metal de un viejo bolso suyo y con el y un cordon me e creado un precioso collar (gracias, se que lo estaras leyendo). Mi recomendacion, usa la imaginacion. No todo son compras y seguir modas.
Recently, a friend gave me a peace metal sign of an old purse of hers’, and with this symbol and a cord, I have created a necklace (thanks, I know that you’ll be reading). My advice, use your imagination. Not everything is shopping and following trends.
